Since we owe a lot to the invention of the condom, I thought I would share their history and some interesting facts. Although the stigma around sex and sexual health has improved positively over the last 50 years, there is still some way to go. Especially for the stigma that women face buying and carrying condoms. Instead, we need to focus on the fact that condoms, when used correctly, make a huge and significant difference in sexual health. Animal intestines such as those of the lamb were also used. Condoms were only available for the middle and upper classes. This is because they could afford them but also within the lower class there was a lack of education around sexual health.



Male condoms
Male condoms are an excellent form of contraception and prevent most types of sexually transmitted infections STIs and unplanned pregnancy. The male condom is a thin sheath that covers the erect penis and works by stopping sexual fluids juices from passing between people during sexual activity. They are made from latex or polyurethane. Condoms should always be used with a water-based lubricant, like KY Jelly or Wet Stuff, on the outside of the condom. Use lots of lubricant, especially for anal sex.





There are a lot of myths about condoms, so make sure that you are aware of the facts before you have sex. It increases the chances of them ripping. Only use one at a time. MYTH: Condoms break easily. Pinching the tip and using lubrication or lube can decrease the chance of the condom breaking.
