The Teen Center is a drop-in after school program open to all 6th through 9th grade students who reside in Manhattan Beach or attend a Manhattan Beach School. Summer is here! The Teen Center has a variety of activities available each day including, beach days, pool days, ping-pong, pool tables, video games, movies, card games and much more! The Teen Center consists of two adjoining rooms in the Manhattan Heights Community Center which are set aside exclusively for teen activities.

Funded by the Department of Children and Families, NJCDC operates school-based youth service programs in four area high schools, serving more than 3, high school students yearly. These comprehensive Teen Centers, guided by the philosophy of Positive Youth Development, are designed to promote healthy lifestyles, both physically and emotionally, so that local teenagers can complete high school successfully and progress onto higher education or into the workforce. Offering free educational and recreational enrichment programming, tutoring, employment assistance, college advice, and counseling and support services year-round, both during the day and outside of school hours, NJCDC's Teen Centers represent unique opportunities for those students in need of academic or emotional assistance or just a safe place to relax and be themselves. The Department operates five teen centers that provide social and recreational programs in a safe and positive environment that will enhance personal and social skills, teach responsibility and leadership. Activities will promote self-esteem, inspire positive personal growth and increase citizenship to Long Beach youth. A free program for teens will be offered weekdays from 11 a. July 6 through August Activities will include recreation, educational enrichment and fitness.
